Rare Albino Bobcat

As you probably know, Bobcats ((Lynx rufus) live in the wilds of Pennsylvania. The Bobcat is an adaptable predator that inhabits wooded areas, as well as semi-desert, urban edge, and swamp land environments.

It has distinctive black bars on its forelegs and a black-tipped, stubby tail, from which it derives its name. Though the Bobcat prefers rabbits and hares, it will hunt anything from insects and small rodents to deer.

Recently, a rare albino Bobcat was spotted in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The Rare Albino Bobcat being observed by a bunch of Orange Conehead school children. The school children are most inquisitive, asking many thoughtful questions. Let's listen in for a bit.

"How long do they live?" asks the Orange Conehead on the far right.

To which their guide answers, "Bobcats typically live to six or eight years of age, with a few reaching beyond ten. The longest they have been known to live is 16 years!"

"How many kittens do they usually have?" asks the Orange Conehead in the middle (between the wheels).

"The female raises the young alone. One to six, but usually two to four, kittens are born in April or May, after roughly 60 to 70 days of gestation," replies the guide.

"Whats that big ugly black thing on it's nose?" asks the Orange Conehead near the front end.

..and so on. It's so very nice to see such enquiring minds in the little ones.

The "yellow" dude is just a run of the mill, oh so ordinary, rusty white road pavement roller...

But yeah, I guess it has a "story" too. LOL

Once upon a time, there was an asphalt roller named Rollie - and at a young age he found fame and fortune starring on "Builder Bob's" TV show. When age crept up on him and ruined his good looks, he was forced to retire into a hard life of drinking and drugs, when he was sent to jail for drug use. Then one day, someone on the road crew chain-gang needed him once again to flatten things. "Ah, flattening things! I love to flatten things!" He hollared when once again he was busy enjoying life. And so it was. Fini.
