A rainbow curves above the horizon afar. It stands like a ever watchful guardian between the stormy tempest gray and the sunwashed peaceful blue.
- The lure of its beckoning, the wellspring of hope.
The inspiring dream of what could be, here as before, lies twisted in the turbulence of the winds of now. The shape of its alluring image, is lost from time to time, only to be found again and again.
- In the shining eyes of another that shares the way.
The pot of gold that legend speaks of lying at the end of the rainbow one chases, is not filled with rattling coinage, but rather, it is a heart filled with an understanding and compassionate soul-felt love.
A love that bids one to go and do what one needs to do, knowing that at one's side, Another willingly stands. It asks that one cease its frowning worry, reassured that the Other will be alright.
- And not knowing if it means anything, one is happy enough to share the glow.
A rainbow curves above the horizon far, between the stormy tempest gray and the sunwashed peaceful blue. And one chases it, knowing the journey means as much as the reaching the elusive colors of its graceful arc.
- But today, I am tired of making the journey alone...

*HUGZ* You're never truly alone when you have good friends at hand.
*sends a hug your way*
*hugs*
You are never truely alone
Though sometimes that's how it seems
Your friends are always by your side
While you chase all of your dreams
*super tight hugs* We are all here with you Iggy...and God is always with you...Your a very special guy and someday your rainbow will touch you....
Our friendship started many years ago.
Where the days have gone I don't know,
But when I think of all we've done
I stop and smile because we've had such fun.
I hope you know how much I care.
It's friends like you who create a pair.
I wish I were closer to share your happiness;
But near or far, I wouldn't miss
All the things you have to share.
I hope you know I am always here.
I know it is harder being miles away,
But always remember this when I say,
"Our friendship is a treasure
Well beyond any measure. "
*Hugs*
Thank you all for the support, virtual hugs, and kind words.
Those of you that are not alone may not understand how much your support and words mean to me.
Thank you too, for the poems - I used to complain bitterly in Enlish class about having to read and write them only learning later in life how expressive they can be. There are much like lyrics to a song.
I'm 'breathing' again and working for the weekend. It's nice to have some work to do - for a guy, his work is a large part of "what he is"... without it, I feel, "not worth so much". Without having my own family, not feeling worth so much, becomes feeling not feeling worth anything at all, much too quickly somedays.
Thanks again.
Gives Iggy the biggest hug that I am capable of. You aren't alone. Day to day "crap" sometimes takes over and we don't get to touch base everyday, but we, your chat/internet family, are here for you and care about you. I'm glad to hear work has come your way again. Your blog means a lot to me. You express yourself so clearly and creatively. I especially appreciate that you care enough to allow us to see the raw emotions through your words. As you've told me when I'm down, tomorrow is a new day and things will be better.
I too get tired of making the journey alone. Thankfully I have friends that remind me that I'm not entirely alone in the journey.
Hugs!
Gives Chicagolady a huge hug too. You are not alone. We are all in this together.
Even someone surrounded by people can still feel all alone.
