I had a bit of excitement while walking - but I'll save that for tomorrow's entry.
Today, I just want to look at these pictures and lose myself in the peaceful calm.
The branches are still bare - but the buds are starting to sprout.
It was warm enough for the hibernating turtles to wake up for a snooze in the sun.
I hope you will click on this picture and imagine running your fingers softly over the bark of this sycamore tree. Perhaps you can see why they are also called Buttonwood trees.

We have several Buttonwood trees around here. I never seem to remember Sycamore. There was a big one down by the creek where we used to swim. It had a long crooked branch that stuck out over the rocks and we could sit on it.

Ah, it's nice to be able to take walks like that during weekdays. I can't wait until this training is over so I can get back to my normal schedule.

It sounds like you had a peaceful relaxing walk. Nice picture, I did not even notice the turtle in the picture until you pointed it out.

ahhh Sycamores....remberances of a time long ago, when I could run, walk, climb and play! *sigh* Memories are nice sometimes :-)

Thank you for taking me on your walk with you, Iggy. I enjoyed it a lot. Dakota would have had you crawling out on that tree limb to get that cute lil' turtle for him. I never knew a sycamore is also called a buttonwood. I definitely did enlarge the picture and could imagine running my hand over the trunk of the tree.
Where are we going to walk tomorrow (or rather, I guess that is today...)?
I would of loved to of gone on that walk with you..... I would of climbed up that smooth tree butt naked lol

I love the pattern of the bark (or is that a lack of bark) on the tree trunk. I'm glad you have your camera back.
i enjoyed your posts..I especially love these photos. The compositions are great..but 'tis the stark contrast of wood and sky. Such a beautiful blue sky, and I am not normally a blue person.
Love the turtles too...I haven't seen any turtles yet, but we are seeing the alligators at Drayton.
