Now, before I go on, let me say that I'm a dog guy - and dog's rule as far as I'm concerned but I would never kick a cat or anything like that.
In fact, I get called upon to cat-sit on frequent occasion when my folks are out of town and rather enjoy visiting with one of my parent's two cats, Pumpkin. He is an orange striped feline my Mom got from her local SPCA and is the most playful bundle of four-legged fur I've ever met.
I won't discuss the other cat except to say he only eats, sleeps, and poops.
While I've re-touched the photograph for modesty purposes, you can clearly see Pumpkin is very possessive of his lounge chair.

My Dad, however, thinks since he paid for the chair and provides the roof over it along with the comforting heat or cooling depending on season, the chair belongs to him.

Of course, Pumpkin insist on telling him otherwise. My Dad finally looked at me and pleaded for HELP!! Instead of rescuing my Dad, I decided to take more pictures. By the way, I got my Dad new down-filled booties for Christmas. Of course, Pumpkin has taken them over too and sleeps in, on, and under them now.

LOL...loved the pics.
Those are great. Our one cat Jedi likes to sit on Matt's head or his face if he's sleeping.
Pumpkin is so cute. Wonderful name lol. That pic of your dad defending himself is hilarious.
hehehehe your pumpkin looks so much like our fat cat 'Buff' except Buff is slightly fatter, he to sits on ones chest if ya lay back on the sofa LOL....
lovely photos... :) especially the showing his nuts to the world one..
x
LOL! Oh that touched up picture is priceless!
Awww! He's such a handsome cat. Pumpkin reminds me of a couple of the cats we had while growing up. My mom's cat had a litter and we ended up with 2 yellow tigers. One was named Wrong-Way (or WW for short) because he was forever going either to his mom's head or butt for his milk and we'd have to pick him up and put him at his place at her teats. The other (the one we kept) was named Bob. Don't ask, daddy named him. He was very soon renamed Boo because he had this habit of hiding in the family room at night and waiting until someone came through it to the bathroom in the dark. Then he'd jump out, wrap his paws around your leg (never used his claws on ya)and look up at ya as if to say "BOO!". Now that I think of it, his personality was much like the little girl from the Monsters Inc movie....
ohhhh I love cats! I love dogs too but cats are my weakness! Beautiful cat.
Good pics...your poor Dad didn't want his pic taken! He wanted the cat off him LOL
LMAO at your re-touched photo!
One of my cats was like that. Always wanted to be right on top of me. And he was a long-haired cat, which made it worse.
I started out being a dog person, but I matured into being both a dog and cat person.
You made me blush!! If my skin were lighter I would've been beet red at work.
Anywho, I've never been much of a cat person even though I never owned a dog either. But after learning I'm allergic to cats, that gave me even more reason to not be so keen on them. I just never know what they'll do next: attack me with their claws or purr. Or purr as they attack me with their claws.
Megan was like that... She'd sleep anywhere and on any person/object that happened to be anywhere she decided to sleep at any given time. People, dustpans, fruit bowls, shoes... She'd sleep in or on them all. LOL! And if it moved she'd play with it (and if it didn't she'd try and see if playing with it would persuade it to do so).
What's the other cat called?
Tori - the other cat is a purebreed Himalayan named Snickers after the candy bar since he shares the same colors.
This picture is not him, but could have been a twin!
That is very funny....especially the part you blocked out as if it's x-rated! Your Dad's slippers with the holes in the bottom are kinda funny too. Thanks for the laugh.
'Tis nice to see your Dad..well, sort of see him. Looks like Pumpkin rules! :)
OMG..your re-touched photo is priceless! It looks like a G-rated PlayCAT center fold, and
Pumpkin is the jock..kung fu cat!
Thank you for a good laugh with my first cup of morning coffee!
~gypsy-heart
dogs leap into your heart.
cats sneak in...
Awesome pics! I love how you decided on the Kodak moment instead of rescuing your dad. Purrrrfect!
I'm a dog person too but had my share of cats throughout my life. Just love animals, I guess.
