Since I do not know how long I'll be off-line or be unable to type without difficulty after I (hopefully) get my right wing fixed up tomorrow morning, I have serialized something I wrote about twenty years ago into eight sort of semi-digestible parts and will set Blogger on auto-pilot and have it publish one part a day for the next eight days.
At the time this story was originally written, I was having some considerable personal difficulty and was told to write my thoughts into a journal when time permitted. Partly a result of this advise was something I pounded out in an hour and a half over a long lunch break and called "Bubba's Tale." It was a rather grim, unhappy bit of prose, expressing near total dissatisfaction with life in general, and the state of mine in particular.
Looking back on it, I do not recall whether the writing helped me in anyway - I do think there was some relief in just expressing what I wrote. Not all of it is sensible, and very little of it is anything I would write today, although I do find some of what I suppose is "forced humor" to be hilarious.
I hope you will enjoy these entries in the spirit in which they are offered, soul-searching, self-mocking, and mostly juvenile. I've censored it by removing only one sentence from the original and did the lightest touch possible of editing and updating it.
- Feel free to read, heckle, deride or ignore these entries, just don't try to hard to read much into it, or between the lines - you might get scared.
I hope to be back on my keyboard soon. I hope all of you get/stay well and enjoy the onset of autumn/spring as the case may be.

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Chin up, my friend. Every thing will turn out just fine. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers, too. *hugs*
I'll light some candles and send some prayers to the Goddess.
I was given that same advice a few years back. You've seen the results in the Padded Room entries. It was the best advice a person could have given me. It showed me that there was a pattern there extending back farther than I could have cared for and opened my eyes to what needed to be done so I felt better. There's just something about getting the problems written out or at least said aloud, that puts things in perspective. It's almost like seeing things with fresh eyes.
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow hun. I'll be thinking of ya. Get well soonest.
I'll be thinking of you while your letting that doctor cut on you *hugsssssssss* and will pray you are safe.
Oh cripes..... (((Intense))) good luck for tomorrow, try and keep ya pecker up.... I will be thinking of you, more so tomorrow.... come back soon, missing you already..

Marmy giggles like a school girl about "gravelly rash" in his other entry yet decides to talk about him keeping his pecker up in here...hmmm....Somehow, Im not sure iggy's gonna share the status of his personal bits n pieces in a public blog Marmy dear... *laffz*
Ok..... well 'gravel rash' has morphed into a whole new sorta meaning over the years here LOL...
please close your ears and eyes if you do not wish to know the meaning....
*cough* her goes....
Gravel rash = when a bloke boasts that he has a big willy.... so a girl says to her maties... without obviously really knowing the size of the said appendage.... oh I wonder if he gets 'gravel rash' meaning - I wonder if its sooooo big it hangs out the bottom of his trousers and drags on the floor.. and he gets gravel rash.....
*wondering if that is a clear explanation* LOL......

First of all, I hope by now your arm is far into the healing phase.
Secondly, I am SO glad I found this post because I was reading your other posts first..and I was worried. hee, hee
Now I will read them with some insight of what, when, and where they came. :)
I love these images..especially the tracks leading to the heart in the trees. I have a fondness for both trains and trees!
Sending healing energies to you, dear Iggy! I will mention your name when I light my candles today.
