My step-grandmother passed away last night in her much loved log cabin home, April 12, 2010 after a brief battle with lung cancer. She leaves a large (and complicated) family to go to a new place.
Rest peacefully Grandma, I know you are delighted to be with all the hunting dogs that were your beloved companions once more. Until we meet again...

Iggy--So very glad you all had that recent time together. That is the most wonderful thing! You will all miss her, but I do think she's pain-free, younger, and loving on those dogs right now. :):)

oh my gosh- that came so suddenly. i'm so sorry! at least she's no longer in any pain and she got to spend time with her whole family before she passed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am so glad you got to see her recently and spend time together. Those are memories you will always be able to hold dear.
I sincerely hope that your family is together and supportive and enjoying one another a bit more through these days. It's amazing how, when lives leave us, we realize how precious they were to have around. Nothing like a reality check.
