Parsley over at
Seasons Of My Mind had a Spring/Easter Swap!
I was lucky enough to get Parsely for a swap sendee! She's so easy to
please!
And not long after I sent her the goodies I selected for her - I got some "good mail" from KimV,
The Wooley Stitcher from Montana! I was so pleased! You should check out her blog if you enjoy mega-talented cross-stitching and awesome quilts!
She sent me a marvelous handmade card and asked me how I discovered Parsley's blog. I'm not sure I remember but I am glad I did - she is quite a "dog nut" and that alone makes her "perfect" in my book!

In addition to the card, KimV sent a "Protected By Dust Bunnies" magnet that is now "protecting" the ones under furniture! I'm sure they were really quite safe before - but now they are doubly safe since no cleaning person will accidentally run them over with a vacuum cleaner now!
She included a CD titled
"The Blind Boys of Alabama" - this group, lead by the astonishing Clarence Fountain, has been recording songs for over fifty years - being first formed at the Alabama Institute for the Negro Blind at Talladega, Alabama in 1939. The three main vocalists of the group and their drummer/percussionist are all blind.

I then looked to see what was in the egg that "Peter Cottontail" left me carfeully nested on a beautiful bit of red/pink cloth - being diabetic has meant no Easter Candy for me for many years - but KimV must have whispered something into Peter's ear! Inside the bit bow-wrapped metal egg were some Jolly Ranchers (yummy!) and some of the most awesome candy I've had in years, Coffee flavored Nestle Nips! Oh my! I died and went to heaven! That reminds me! I got to get some more of these!

Finally, to make the perfect treat all the more wonderful, there were little flower blossoms and SIX!! Yes, SIX!! Miniature orange traffic safty cones! I don't know if these little ones are just "Little Ones" (do orange cones have a hang up with "political correctness"? or do they just call them "midgets"?) or baby cones. I guess I'll find out later if they grow bigger or not!

I laughed out loud at the orange cones. I think you're going to be stuck with orange cones for the rest of your life! :) Not that I think you'd mind though.
Were those candies sugar free? I'm just wondering what kind of candy a diabete can eat.

What a perfect package!! I wonder where she found *baby* cones?? Laughed at the magnet! I've had those Nips before - wonderfully delish! They have sugar-free Italian goodies over here....I'll have to pick some up for you next time I'm out and about!
